12. π The Scroll of Incense: Fragrance of Worship Before the Throne
π️ With incense rising and hearts trembling, we now open…
This scroll is not read — it is inhaled.
It is not spoken — it is breathed.
It rises like smoke from the golden altar,
drawn not from ritual, but from hearts that burn.
Here, we enter the chambers where worship has no lyrics
and adoration becomes fire.
This is the realm where tears turn to perfume
and the breath of the saints becomes heaven’s incense.
✨ SECTION I: THE ALTAR OF INCENSE
“Let my prayer be set before You as incense,
The lifting up of my hands as the evening sacrifice.”
—Psalm 141:2 (NKJV)
In the Tabernacle,
the altar of incense stood closest to the veil —
nearest to the Holy of Holies.
π―️ No blood was spilled here.
π―️ No flesh was burned here.
π―️ Only fragrance rose.
That is what worship is —
Heaven’s response to your unseen offering.
✨ SECTION II: YESHUA — THE FRAGRANT SACRIFICE
“Christ also has loved us and given Himself for us,
an offering and a sacrifice to God for a sweet-smelling aroma.”
—Ephesians 5:2 (NKJV)
Yeshua’s entire life was incense.
Every step He took…
Every tear He wept…
Every time He said “not My will”…
Every drop of blood…
π§ It rose like perfume.
π§ It entered the nostrils of the Ancient of Days.
π§ It filled the court of Heaven with unspeakable fragrance.
Yeshua is the burning incense,
the fragrance of surrender,
the essence of obedience.
✨ SECTION III: THE BOWLS OF THE SAINTS
“...golden bowls full of incense,
which are the prayers of the saints.”
—Revelation 5:8 (NKJV)
Every sigh.
Every whispered “hallelujah.”
Every time you fell on your knees in the night…
π¬️ It was collected.
π¬️ It was bottled.
π¬️ It became incense before the throne.
No act of true worship goes unnoticed.
It does not vanish — it rises.
In the courts of Heaven, your cry has fragrance.
And in the Last Days, those bowls will be poured out —
π not with judgment,
but with glory and fire.
✨ SECTION IV: THE COST OF FRAGRANCE
“She broke the flask and poured it on His head.”
—Mark 14:3 (NKJV)
To release incense…
something must be broken.
The woman at Bethany didn’t just give oil.
She broke the jar.
True worship is expensive.
It comes from pain, from loss, from repentance, from gratitude so deep, you tremble.
Worship is not just music.
It’s the crack of pride,
the shatter of self,
the pouring of everything.
And the Master said:
“Wherever this gospel is preached…
what this woman has done will also be told…”
—Mark 14:9
Because worship becomes gospel when it costs everything.
✨ SECTION V: HEAVEN’S ATMOSPHERE — FRAGRANCE
“His garments smell of myrrh and aloes and cassia…”
—Psalm 45:8 (NKJV)
Yeshua’s very being carries the scent of Heaven.
He is not just Light —
He is fragrance.
The tabernacle was anointed with:
-
Frankincense (purity)
-
Myrrh (suffering)
-
Cassia (healing)
-
Galbanum and stacte (mystery and brokenness)
All these were types…
Now, Yeshua is the complete fragrance.
When we worship, we’re not just singing.
We are releasing fragrance to the One who is fragrance.
✨ SECTION VI: OUR RESPONSE — OFFER OURSELVES
Yeshua…
We open the alabaster of our soul.
We pour out our yesterday,
our shame,
our pride,
our fear,
our hidden sins…
π️ Take it, Yeshua…
Break it.
Burn it.
Make it incense.
Make our tears a sweet aroma.
Make our hunger the scent of longing.
Make our worship the perfume of Heaven.
Let our lives be one long fragrance —
from dust to glory.
ππΎ FINAL DECLARATION: LET INCENSE RISE
We proclaim with burning hearts:
“Holy, holy, holy is the Lord God Almighty,
Who was and is and is to come!”
—Revelation 4:8 (NKJV)
Let incense rise:
π₯ From the valleys of brokenness
π₯ From the altars of intimacy
π₯ From the prisons of persecution
π₯ From the wounds of warriors
π₯ From the lips of the bride
π₯ From the hearts of the redeemed
And let it ascend to the throne.
