3. The Life of Compassion

O Yeshua, compassionate Savior, tender Shepherd of our souls,
Your eyes beheld the weary, the broken, the lost,
and Your heart poured out mercy without measure.
You touched the leper, and he was cleansed;
You opened the eyes of the blind, and they saw wonders;
You made the deaf hear the music of eternity;
You lifted the lame, and they walked in praise;
and even the dead rose at Your command,
as life itself bowed to Your authority.

O Word of God, living in flesh,
Your words carried healing, hope, and fire.
The storm obeyed Your voice,
the wind and waves knew Your command;
“Peace! Be still!” and the chaos bowed.
You fed thousands with five loaves and two fish,
multiplying not just bread but mercy.
You turned water into wine,
transforming the ordinary into celebration,
revealing the glory hidden in creation itself.

O Shepherd, You wept over Jerusalem,
grieving over hearts hardened and blind,
yet never withdrew Your love.
You carried burdens not Your own,
bearing the sorrow of the widow,
the mourning of the orphan,
the shame of sinners,
the rejection of the proud.

Your parables pierced hearts,
revealing the kingdom in seed, in treasure, in pearl,
in lost sheep and prodigal sons.
Wisdom flowed from Your lips,
the Word became lamp and light,
guiding every weary traveler to the Father’s embrace.

O Friend of sinners, O Healer of nations,
Your hands healed disease, yet bore the nails of the cross;
Your lips spoke truth, yet faced lies and blasphemy;
Your heart overflowed love, yet endured betrayal.
The crowds pressed, the Pharisees plotted,
yet You never wavered from the path of compassion.

Blessed are You who bore the cries of humanity,
whose compassion knew no borders, no exhaustion,
whose mercy flowed from heaven into every heart,
whose love turned enemies into witnesses,
whose presence made the deaf hear songs of joy,
and the blind see the kingdom of God.

O Master, You showed the glory of God
not in thrones and crowns,
but in bread broken, wine poured, hands lifted in service,
kneeling to wash feet, embracing the despised.
You are the Word made flesh,
the Lamb who bore the sins of the world,
the Light shining into every darkness,
the Living Water quenching every thirst of the soul.

O Eternal Compassion, we glorify Your patience,
Your tender gaze that never despises,
Your arms that enfold the weak,
Your voice that calls the lost to hope.
Blessed is the one who walks in the footprints of mercy,
for through You, the kingdom has come near.
