8. The Passion and Cross

O Yeshua, Lamb of God, pierced for our transgressions,
You bore the weight of a world’s sin,
yet bowed in perfect obedience to the Father’s will.
With every step along the path to Calvary,
You carried the agony of humanity upon Your shoulders.
The crown of thorns pressed upon Your brow,
yet Your eyes were pools of mercy,
looking past the cruelty to the redemption of all who would believe.

O Savior, beaten, mocked, and scourged,
the lash tore flesh, yet did not tear Your love;
spittle and ridicule fell upon You,
yet Your lips whispered forgiveness,
for they knew the Father’s plan,
and the joy that awaited at the resurrection.

Upon the hill, nailed to the tree,
You bore the curse meant for us all.
O priceless Blood, flowing from hands and feet,
sealing the covenant,
redeeming the lost,
restoring the fallen,
bringing every rebellious heart to its knees.

O Word incarnate, You carried the world’s shame,
each sin branded upon Your holy back,
yet not once did You shrink from obedience.
The sky darkened, creation groaned,
mountains quaked, and the veil tore in two,
signaling the power of Your victory,
the triumph of love that conquers all.

O pierced side, from which life poured forth,
blood mingled with water, a river of mercy
washing hearts, cleansing souls,
making sinners righteous,
turning death into life,
despair into hope,
darkness into glory.

O Lamb, forsaken yet unbroken,
You uttered cries of anguish that pierced eternity,
“Father, into Your hands I commit My spirit,”
and the heavens listened,
angels bowed, and creation stood in awe.

O Redeemer, Your cross is throne and altar,
Your suffering is our healing,
Your obedience is our freedom,
Your death is our eternal life.
The grave could not hold You;
hell could not claim You;
sin’s power was shattered;
victory radiated from the tree of pain.

O exalted One, risen from the tomb,
death defeated, chains broken,
You ascend in triumph,
and every knee bows in heaven, on earth, and under the earth,
and every tongue declares:
“Yeshua HaMashiach is Lord!”

Blessed is Your name, O Lamb who conquered all,
whose blood redeems, whose wounds bring life,
whose obedience fulfilled prophecy,
whose love ignited hope eternal.
O King of kings, Lord of lords,
the cross is Your glory, the grave Your doorway,
the resurrection Your eternal song.
