๐️ 1– INTRODUCTION: “This One’s For You, Holy Spirit”
“Holy Spirit, this is not a sermon.
Not a study.
Not a teaching.
It’s a song of the soul,
a cry of gratitude,
a whispered worship through my fingers.
This is for You. Just You.”
To the Comforter I’ve ignored...
To the Counselor I’ve rushed past...
To the Fire I’ve quenched...
To the Friend who stayed...
Today I write to You, Holy Spirit.
Not because I have something to ask.
Not because I seek power, tongues, or prophetic utterance.
But because my soul cannot be silent anymore.
Because I finally see how patient You’ve been with me.
You’ve always been there,
hovering when the earth was without form (Genesis 1:2),
brooding over the deep like a mother eagle over her young.
Yet how often have we treated You like a tool, not a Person?
Like a power surge, not a faithful Companion?
Like a background actor, not the holy Breath of the Living God?
๐ฅ How Have We Neglected You?
We’ve pursued Father and Son—rightly so.
But in our rush, we often forgot You are not just an it, but a He.
A living, divine, present Being.
How often have I said:
-
“I need to pray to Jesus,”
-
“I worship the Father,”
Yet...
How rare it has been to say,
“I love You, Holy Spirit.”
Yet You are God.
You are the One who filled the tabernacle with cloud.
You are the One who descended on Jesus as a dove.
You are the One who fell like fire in Acts, and now burn in me.
You are not less than the Father.
You are not a whisper of the Son.
You are not optional in the Trinity.
You are God Almighty, eternal, gentle, blazing.
๐ From the Scrolls of Ancient Fire
Even the ancient texts cry of You...
๐ Wisdom of Solomon 1:6 (Apocrypha):
“For wisdom is a loving spirit, and will not acquit a blasphemer of his words: for God is witness of his reins, and a true beholder of his heart...”
Here the Spirit is called loving.
Not just wise—but loving wisdom, divine intelligence wrapped in affection.
๐ Enoch 62:2 (Book of Enoch):
“And the spirit of the righteous shall dwell in them, and the glory of the Mighty One shall rest upon them.”
You rest upon the righteous...
You rest upon me.
You’ve made my soul Your home—though it was a filthy temple.
✍️ A Letter of Adoration
“Holy Spirit...
Thank You for not leaving me when I left You.
Thank You for not raising Your voice when I drowned You out with noise.
Thank You for gently tapping when I slammed the door of my will.
Thank You for being the whisper when I wanted a shout.
Thank You for being the flame when I wanted fireworks.
Thank You for being the friend when I deserved a judge.
Thank You for being the breath when I thought I had none left.
Thank You... for staying.”
๐️ I LOVE YOU, HOLY SPIRIT.
I mean that now.
Not for the goosebumps.
Not for tongues.
Not for prophecy.
Just… You.
Your Personhood, Your gentleness, Your warmth.
You are not the background—You are the very canvas.
You are the Wind behind the Word.
You are the Ink in the Scriptures.
You are the Light in the lamp of truth.
You are the Torch of my sanctification.
You are the one I hurt most when I sin, and the one I feel least when I rush.
๐จ BREATH BEFORE WE GO DEEPER
Before we proceed to the next part, I pause.
To honor You with breath.
To say:
“Come, Holy Spirit.
Flood the reader.
Fall upon this space.
Let the atmosphere of this blog become Your chamber of communion.
We don’t want entertainment.
We don’t want stimulation.
We want communion.
We want You.”
