📜 Scroll of Praise and Worship from Deuteronomy
I. Prelude: The Covenant God Revealed
Deuteronomy stands as the final testimony of God’s covenant with Israel — a holy call to remember His faithfulness, to obey His law, and to live in the blessing of His presence. We lift our hearts to the God of covenant and mercy, the Lawgiver who disciplines and loves.
II. The LORD Our God, the Covenant-Keeper
"The LORD our God is one LORD" (Deut 6:4).
You alone are God, the Great and Mighty One (Deut 10:17),
King of heaven and earth, the Rock of our salvation (Deut 32:4).
You are jealous for Your people,
A consuming fire that purifies and sanctifies (Deut 4:24).
We praise You, LORD,
For You have chosen us from all peoples (Deut 7:6),
Not because of our might, but because of Your great love (Deut 7:7-8).
Your mercy is steadfast and Your faithfulness endures forever (Deut 7:9).
III. The God Who Speaks and Commands
You have given us Your law,
Your statutes and ordinances to walk in righteousness (Deut 5:1-21; 6:1-3).
By Your Word, You teach us to love You with all our heart, soul, and might (Deut 6:5).
We worship You, the God of wisdom, who instructs us and leads us in paths of life (Deut 32:7).
Your words are life and blessing,
Your commandments are holy and just (Deut 30:15-20).
We choose life, O LORD, because You have made us able to discern (Deut 30:19).
May our hearts be fully Yours,
Walking in Your ways and delighting in Your truth.
IV. The LORD Our Deliverer and Protector
You are the Mighty One who brought us out of Egypt (Deut 6:21),
Who tore the chains of bondage and led us to freedom (Deut 5:15).
We exalt You, the LORD who fights for Your people (Deut 1:30).
You are our refuge and shield (Deut 33:27),
A fortress in times of trouble,
Who daily loads us with benefits (Deut 33:3).
Great is Your faithfulness, O LORD, our Banner and Defender.
V. The God of Justice and Compassion
Your justice is perfect (Deut 32:4),
You love the orphan, the widow, and the stranger (Deut 10:18-19).
We praise You for Your compassion that calls us to righteousness and mercy (Deut 24:17-22).
You establish leaders who walk in Your ways,
And You bless those who honor Your covenant (Deut 28).
Let Your justice flow like a river,
And Your righteousness like an ever-flowing stream.
VI. The Promise of Blessing and Restoration
You have promised blessings upon blessings (Deut 28:1-14),
Life and prosperity for those who obey Your voice.
We declare Your promises over our lives,
Health, peace, and favor flowing from Your throne.
Even in discipline, Your hand is upon us (Deut 8:5),
Leading us back to repentance and restoration.
Your covenant is sure and steadfast,
A foundation that will never be shaken (Deut 31:6).
VII. Ascending in Worship
Holy, Holy, Holy is the LORD our God (Deut 6:5),
We love You with all our heart, soul, and might.
You alone are worthy of all praise and honor.
Let our lives be living sacrifices,
Our hearts altar fires burning before You.
May we keep Your commands,
And walk in Your ways all our days.
Prayer of Praise — From the Scroll of Deuteronomy
O Jehovah Elohim,
The LORD our God, the One who is alone worthy of all worship (Deut 6:4),
We come before Your throne with reverence and awe,
Acknowledging Your holiness and supreme sovereignty.
You are the God who spoke to Moses face to face (Deut 34:10),
The God who gave us Your law as a lamp to our feet and light to our path (Deut 6:6-8),
The God who calls us to love You with all our heart, soul, and strength (Deut 6:5).
Holy Father,
You are the One who brought our ancestors out of Egypt with mighty hand and outstretched arm (Deut 7:8),
The Redeemer who sets captives free and leads us through every wilderness.
Teach us to trust You fully,
To remember Your mighty deeds and keep Your commandments faithfully.
You are the Rock, our refuge and fortress (Deut 32:4, 33:27),
Our Shield in battle, our Banner raised high (Deut 20:4).
We pray, strengthen our faith as You strengthened Israel’s,
Help us to stand firm against every trial and temptation.
Gracious God,
You are just and righteous, loving justice and showing mercy (Deut 10:18-19).
Help us to live with integrity, to defend the oppressed,
And to walk humbly before You every day (Deut 24:17-22).
You have promised blessing and life to those who obey Your voice (Deut 28:1-14),
We declare Your promises over our lives today —
Health, prosperity, protection, and peace.
Let Your favor be upon us as we walk in Your ways.
O LORD, our covenant-keeping God,
May Your statutes be written deeply on our hearts (Deut 6:6-9),
May we teach Your words diligently to our children (Deut 6:7),
And may our lives be living testimonies of Your grace.
We lift our voices to You in joyous praise,
The LORD who reigns forever and ever,
The God of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob,
To You be all glory, honor, and worship,
Now and forevermore.
Amen.
