The Genesis of Praise — Revelation of His Names, His Covenant, and His Glory in Creation and in Crisis
🔹1. Creator of the Heavens and the Earth (Genesis 1:1)
“In the beginning, God created the heavens and the earth.”
Praise:
O Elohim, You are the Creator of all that exists —
By Your Word, light shattered darkness.
The stars obey You. The waters part at Your command.
The plants, beasts, and man—formed by Your breath—stand as witnesses to Your glory.
🔹2. The God Who Saw His Work and Called It Good (Genesis 1:31)
“And God saw everything that He had made, and behold, it was very good.”
Praise:
All Your works are perfect, O Lord.
You do not create in chaos, but in divine order and goodness.
Your eye sees all things.
You are the Judge of what is good, and Your verdict is final.
I worship You, whose glory is revealed even in the foundation of the world.
🔹3. Breath-Giver and Life-Former (Genesis 2:7)
“Then the LORD God formed the man of dust from the ground and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life…”
Praise:
O Yahweh Elohim, You are not distant—You formed us with Your hands!
The dust of the earth became a living soul by Your holy breath.
You are not only Creator, but Intimate Father, Life-Giver, and King over mortality.
I praise You, for I am fearfully and wonderfully made.
🔹4. El Roi — The God Who Sees Me (Genesis 16:13–14)
“She gave this name to the LORD who spoke to her: ‘You are the God who sees me,’ for she said, ‘I have now seen the One who sees me.’”
Praise:
O El Roi, in the wilderness of despair, You saw Hagar.
She was cast out, forgotten by man—but not by You.
You are the God who sees the outcast, who finds the thirsty, who opens wells in the desert.
You are not blind to pain nor deaf to weeping.
I bless You, El Roi—the Watcher of my soul, the Seer of my secret cries.
🔹5. El Shaddai — God Almighty (Genesis 17:1)
“I am God Almighty; walk before Me, and be blameless.”
Praise:
El Shaddai! The All-Sufficient One,
You appeared to Abraham and declared Your might.
You are the God of the impossible—making the barren womb fruitful,
Calling nations out of one man’s obedience.
You are the Mountain of Provision, the God of Covenant.
I bow before Your power and perfection.
🔹6. Yahweh-Yireh — The LORD Who Provides (Genesis 22:14)
“So Abraham called the name of that place, ‘The LORD will provide’…”
Praise:
O Yahweh-Yireh, on the mountain of testing, You showed Yourself as the Ram in the thicket.
You did not abandon Abraham, nor will You abandon me.
You are the God who sees ahead, and provides from eternity.
I worship You—Faithful Provider, Merciful Redeemer!
🔹7. Judge of All the Earth (Genesis 18:25)
“Shall not the Judge of all the earth do what is just?”
Praise:
You are the Righteous Judge.
You weigh every city, every heart, every cry of the innocent.
You are patient with the wicked, yet holy in justice.
I worship You—not only for mercy, but for Your perfect justice.
🔹8. Shield and Reward (Genesis 15:1)
“Fear not, Abram, I am your shield; your very great reward.”
Praise:
O God, You are not only the Giver—you are the Reward!
You defend, You protect, You surround with favor.
In You alone is my satisfaction.
You are my portion, my inheritance, my exceedingly great reward.
🔹9. God Who Turns Evil to Good (Genesis 50:20)
“As for you, you meant evil against me, but God meant it for good…”
Praise:
O Sovereign Redeemer, You turn betrayal into salvation.
You raised Joseph to save nations through his suffering.
Even what the enemy planned for destruction—You used for deliverance.
You are the Master Weaver, the King above schemes, the Lord of divine reversal!
🙏 Prayer of Praise – From the Genesis Scroll
O God of the Beginning, Elohim of Light and Life,
Breath-Giver, Covenant-Maker, Provider, Seer, and Judge—
You are worthy of praise from the foundations of the world!
I lift my soul in awe. I lay my heart in reverence.
From Eden to Egypt, from dust to dominion,
You have made Yourself known to the sons of men.
El Roi sees me. El Shaddai carries me.
Yahweh-Yireh prepares the way before I even ask.
Who is like You, O God?
The One who walks in gardens, who speaks in dreams,
Who tests by fire, who shelters in famine,
Who rules over stars and wombs and wells and kings.
I worship You now, with understanding and holy fear.
You are the Alpha. And from You, all praise begins.
Amen.

The Creator who called forth sun, moon, and stars;
Who planted Eden and walked with man in the cool of the day.
