✨16 : Noah’s Ark and the Aftermath: The Spirit Realm and Earth-bound Entities

Introduction: A Flood Greater Than Water

"And the LORD said, 'I will destroy man whom I have created from the face of the earth... But Noah found grace in the eyes of the LORD.'" — Genesis 6:7-8

The flood of Noah is more than a children's story. It was God's divine act of cleansing the earth from not only human wickedness but supernatural corruption. The deluge wiped away a hybrid world infested by the fallen Watchers' offspring, known as the Nephilim. However, even after the waters receded, the effects of their rebellion did not fully vanish. What survived was not flesh, but spirit. And these spirits still operate today.

This post explores the post-flood reality of the spirit realm, examining what happened to the Watchers, their offspring, and how these disembodied spirits now interact with humanity.

Part 1: Noah’s Ark — A Divine Reset

1.1 The Ark as a Foreshadow of Messiah

  • Noah's Ark wasn't just a boat; it was a prophetic vessel.

  • It had one door — like Christ, the only way of salvation (John 10:9).

  • Covered in pitch (Heb. "kaphar") meaning atonement — a picture of being sealed by the blood.

  • 8 souls were saved (symbol of new beginnings).

"...a few, that is, eight souls, were saved through water. There is also an antitype which now saves us—baptism... through the resurrection of Jesus Christ." — 1 Peter 3:20-21

The Ark tells a story of both judgment and mercy. The same water that destroyed also lifted up the righteous.

Part 2: The Spirits of the Giants — Unclean Spirits

2.1 Disembodied but Active

  • The Nephilim, offspring of angels and humans, were not part of God's intended creation.

  • When they died in the flood, their spirits could not return to God (Ecclesiastes 12:7).

  • They became earth-bound spirits — what we now call demons or unclean spirits.

"And now, the giants, who are produced from the spirits and flesh, shall be called evil spirits upon the earth..." — 1 Enoch 15:8-9

2.2 Earthbound Entities

  • They seek embodiment because they were once hybrid flesh.

  • They whisper, tempt, oppress, and possess.

  • Their nature is hostile to mankind, as they hate God's image in us.

"When an unclean spirit goes out of a man, he goes through dry places, seeking rest, and finds none." — Matthew 12:43

These are not fallen angels. They are the bastard spirits of corrupted seed.

Part 3: Post-Flood Spiritual Warfare

3.1 Not Just Human History

  • After the flood, demonic strategies became more refined, subtle, and systematic.

  • Principalities began establishing cultures, religions, and systems of deception (Deuteronomy 32:8).

  • Territorial spirits emerged — spiritual rulers who claimed lands and people.

3.2 Why They Still Operate

  • Because spiritual laws remain in place:

    • If man opens a door (sin, idolatry, bloodshed), these spirits gain legal access.

    • They exploit the covenant ignorance of people.

Part 4: Spirits of the Nephilim and the Church

4.1 Still Active

  • They manifest through:

    • Addictions

    • Violence

    • Sexual perversion

    • Occultism

    • False prophecy and manipulation

"For we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against principalities... spiritual hosts of wickedness in the heavenly places." — Ephesians 6:12

4.2 Jesus' Ministry Confronted Them

  • Deliverance was a normal part of Jesus' walk.

  • He cast them out, commanded them, and silenced them.

"He cast out the spirits with a word, and healed all who were sick..." — Matthew 8:16

We are called to do the same (Mark 16:17).

Part 5: Lessons for Today

5.1 Don’t Ignore the War

  • If we act like demons don’t exist, they will exploit our ignorance.

  • The Nephilim spirits hate humanity, especially believers.

5.2 Authority in Christ

  • Jesus gave us authority to trample on serpents and scorpions.

  • Your body is the Ark now — sealed by His Spirit.

  • The enemy cannot enter unless given access.

"Behold, I give you the authority... over all the power of the enemy." — Luke 10:19

Conclusion: Noah’s Ark, Jesus, and the Battle Today

The flood wiped away bodies but not spirits. What was started by the Watchers continues in spiritual form to this day. But just as Noah found grace, we have found greater grace in Christ Jesus. He is our Ark, our covering, our salvation.

As it was in the days of Noah, so shall it be again. But this time, it will not be with water — it will be with fire (2 Peter 3:7).

Let us walk in righteousness, guard the doors, and declare the dominion of Jesus over every unclean thing.

"The God of peace will crush Satan under your feet shortly." — Romans 16:20
