7. Triumph Over the Powers of Darkness
O Yeshua, the Lamb slain from the foundation of the world,
the Word made flesh, full of grace and truth,
who descended from heaven to dwell among us,
who bore the sins of all mankind upon Your shoulders,
I lift my voice in awe, I lift my heart in reverence,
and I proclaim the magnitude of Your victory on the tree.
Tetelestai! “It is finished!”
O sacred cry that shook the heavens,
that tore the veil of the temple in two,
that echoed through eternity and resounded in the realms unseen.
At the utterance of this word, every principality, every power, every ruler of darkness quaked.
You accomplished what no man, no angel, no force of hell had ever achieved.
You, the Son of God, bore the wrath of humanity,
and in doing so, You dismantled every stronghold of darkness,
breaking every yoke of oppression,
nullifying every scheme of the evil one.
O Mighty One, nailed to the tree in agony,
yet clothed in authority and glory,
Your obedience became the instrument of cosmic conquest.
Isaiah spoke of You: “He was wounded for our transgressions,
bruised for our iniquities; the chastisement of our peace was upon Him,
and by His stripes we are healed” (Isaiah 53:5).
O Lord, the stripes were not only for healing; they were a hammer smashing the gates of the enemy,
a weapon tearing apart every hidden fortress of darkness.
O Lamb, suffering in silence, yet roaring in power,
your humiliation became our exaltation,
your pain became our triumph,
your obedience dismantled the hierarchy of sin and evil.
The serpent, who had deceived the nations from Eden,
found its schemes unmasked, its pride humiliated,
its power undone.
The accuser of the brethren, who stood with accusations day and night,
was silenced forever at the foot of the cross.
Your blood speaks still, louder than the voices of men,
declaring freedom, proclaiming justice, and announcing the doom of darkness.
O blessed Savior, the veil in the temple tore as a witness,
signaling that the path to the Father was opened,
that the dominion of sin and death was broken,
and that the Holy One had triumphed over every satanic plot.
Matthew 27:51 says, “And behold, the veil of the temple was torn in two, from top to bottom;
and the earth shook, and the rocks were split.”
O Yeshua, the veil represents the boundary between man and God,
and You, in Your obedience, tore that boundary,
reconciling us to the Father and disarming every force of darkness.
O Redeemer, no one in history had the authority, the love, the power to do this,
yet You did it.
The powers of darkness, the spiritual hosts of wickedness,
the rulers and authorities of unseen realms—all fell at the sound of Tetelestai.
Colossians 2:15 declares, “He disarmed the rulers and authorities and made a public spectacle of them, triumphing over them by the cross.”
O Lamb, this triumph is eternal!
Every demonic stronghold, every scheme, every chain—broken.
Every fortress of pride, deception, fear, oppression—crumbled.
O Mighty Yeshua, I praise You for every moment of Your agony,
for every drop of Your blood that became a river of victory,
for every thorn that pierced Your brow,
for every lash that struck Your back,
for every insult, mockery, and humiliation endured
that dismantled every power of darkness across heaven and earth.
Your obedience is my song, Your suffering my adoration,
Your triumph my eternal declaration.
O King of kings, Lord of lords,
I magnify You for the victory that no other could achieve.
Your cross is my refuge, Your blood my redemption,
Your triumph my confidence, and Your name my banner.
The universe shudders, the heavens rejoice,
and the angels, enthralled by Your glory, proclaim Your praise day and night.
All creation witnesses Your dismantling of darkness,
and my soul joins the eternal chorus,
lifting up Your name forever.
