A Father’s Embrace: Love in the Darkness and Despair
This psalm was inspired by memories of the days when I felt completely alone, surrounded by a darkness that seemed inescapable. Sin, guilt, and shame weighed on me, leaving life’s purpose buried in shadows. I was searching, but nothing made sense; the emptiness was overwhelming.

I once felt like a lost soul, drowning in shame and unworthiness, searching desperately for something to fill the emptiness inside. I carried guilt and brokenness like heavy chains, wondering if there was any way out. It was in this darkness that I remembered the story of the Prodigal Son—a young man who left everything good, only to find himself starving and alone. In him, I saw myself.
One day, I finally turned back to God, hoping for forgiveness but expecting judgment. Yet, when I returned, I encountered something unimaginable: a Father who ran to me with open arms. There was no shame, only love so powerful it broke every chain of guilt I had carried. Through Jesus, I found the heart of the gospel—love so pure it erased my past and brought me new life.
Now, each step is guided by His light. I am clothed in His grace, my spirit free, and my heart filled with a joy that I once thought was lost forever. In His embrace, I’ve found my true home, my peace, my purpose.
Tortured mind, and emotions galore?
Thorns of pain, that pierce your heart's core,
Leaving emptiness, and a soul that's poor.
Do you question life purpose and plans?
Feeling rejected, with unworthiness in hand?
Flooded with shame, and doubts so dark and grim,
Seeking escape, from this endless whim.
Do you feel washed in filth and sin?
Ashamed of weakness, with no way to win?
Out of options, with no place to begin,
Feeling rejected, with a heart that's thin.
Seeking meaning in a lawless world
Where Sin fills the cup of death
Tasting the lust, wore disgrace like a crown.
Beaten and bruised, in the mire he lay,
Once filled with promise, now a shadow of gray.
Feeding on swine's food, in the darkness confined
Once a Prince, now a name cast aside
He left heaven’s gates, where pure love shines bright,
Longing for scraps, like a servant in plight.
Rehearsed on his way, whispered time & times
"Father, I sinned against you and heaven's
Seeking not sonship, but a servant's kind"
No longer a son, but a servant true,
Exchange my pride, for humility's sway,
And take my place, at your table's fray.
In search of reconciliation, I come back to you.

Have you heard a story so grand,
Of a prodigal son, lost in a foreign land.Seeking meaning in a lawless world

Oh, Father’s love, a sight so divine,
Runs to embrace in the darkest night.
Kisses the cheeks, holds the Son,
As a little Lamb, pure and fragrant as one.
Miles away, people smell the filth,
But to his Father, he’s a treasure of wealth.
Though to the brother, swine he seems,
In Father’s arms, pure as dreams.
He clothed him in robes, with rings and sandals fine,
Celebrating return, with a love divine.
The lost son, once dead, now alive and free,
Seated with glory, in his father's decree.
God's love as a Father for the Lost
Ain't this Love the Cross of Jesus
Fathers Love for fallen Son
"Come, my child, behold this grace,
Nailed to the Cross, our rightful place,
O God Almighty, how deep is Your love,
Grace pouring down from the heavens above.
O King Jesus, my joy, my salvation,
Your sacrifice brings forth my transformation.
How vast, O Father, is Your endless grace,
To bear my sins and shame, erase
With mercy that stands the test of time,
Cloaked in Your love, my spirit will climb.
In Your gaze, I see life’s spark,
Trading my lifeless soul’s dark mark,
With Your Spirit, breath anew,
Almighty God, my love’s for You.
Embracing death, You grant me life anew,
Seating me high, in Your heavenly view.
You clothed me in garments pure and white,
Bore my sins, crossed the darkest night
Breaking chains, and setting me free to be
Flooded with love, eternally.

For my blood, You gave Your own,
For the pain of mine, Your heart was sown.
For my shame, You bore my sin,
Into the deepest grave, You ventured in.
For my curse, you hung on the tree
For freedom's sake, You wore my disgrace.
For joy I lost, You claimed my tears,
For my fleeting breath, You silenced fears.
You gave Your life so I might thrive,
From heaven’s glory, You keep love alive.

God's Love: A Feeling Too Great for Words
What words can speak, O God of love -
Will You shelter me beneath Your wings above?
Jesus, King, who left His throne
To lift me from the dark unknown.
In death embraced, You raised me high,
To dwell with the Father in the sky.
Clothed me with your robes of Righteousness,
The cross You bore has erased my blame.
My joy will burst forth in You,
As skies of blue break through the hue.
In Your embrace, I find my song,
Where I belong, I’ve been made strong.
With every step, Your light I chase,
In realms of grace, I seek Your face.
You turn my mourning into joyful dance,
In Your presence, I take my chance.
With the King of Heaven, I am free,
No chains to bind, just love’s decree.
In fields of mercy, I will run,
With hearts united, we are one.
Forever changed, my spirit soars,
In endless praise, my soul adores.
For in Your kingdom, I will sing,
My life transformed, my heart’s own spring.
In Your goodness, joy abounds,
With You, O King, my hope resounds.
Eternal life in love's embrace,
Forever held in Your sweet grace.
